What are some signs I should visit a chiropractor for back pain?

There's a range of reasons why you might be thinking that it's time to see a chiropractor for back pain. Struggling with basic tasks like putting your socks on? Often injuring yourself doing simple tasks like bending down to pick up your phone? Or perhaps you're tired of tossing and turning trying to find that comfortable position in bed. You might also find yourself only using your bowels once every few days, struggling with energy levels and perhaps incontinence has started becoming a regular issue.

When you start experiencing functional issues, losing your mobility, pain becomes consistent whilst movement with ease has now become a constant issue, you’re probably on the tipping scale of an injury waiting to happen, if it hasn’t already. Any of these signs are an indication it’s time to see a chiropractor for back pain.

What will happen when I visit a chiropractor for back pain?

Here are 2 Simple Steps that occur when you step into our office.

Initial Consultation and Examination:

This visit will be specifically focussed on finding out what your current state of health is and what is going on with your body so we can learn how to better help you move forward towards resolution. We do this by taking a thorough history of your health so that we are able to better understand what has brought you to this point in your current health challenges.

This is then followed by a thorough Physical, Orthopaedic, Neurological and Spinal Examination. If deemed Clinically necessary, X-rays will be taken to better analyse the root cause of your problem before we specifically tailor the adjustment component based on your current state of health. Should your case be what we call “textbook”, a chiropractor will follow through with an adjustment on this visit.

This entire process can take up to 30 mins to 40min. We will always rebook you for a follow up within 24-48 hours for your report of findings once we have pieced together your information.

Report of Finding and Adjustment

This will be done after reviewing your case history, assessment and incorporating any extra information or films that we would need. We will then explain this to you thoroughly so a better understanding of your health status can be established for your own reference. We will also give you a tailored care plan to help you improve on your current state.

We tend to explain to you how Chiropractic Care works, how the human body is connected and what speeds/slows down the healing process. We will then go through and perform the adjustments necessary to start the process for you.We always leave you with home care advice and will slowly incorporate lifestyle advices to help you improve your health and well being to get the best results possible from your care here with us at Caetano Family Chiropractic.
